You want to know some of the things I've had happen while open carrying during the warm months? I'm pretty thick skinned, others may prefer not to worry about such things.

Two wrongs don't make a right. The Patriot Act is an abomination as are the gun control laws people like Obama support.

The 2nd Amendment was crafted when there was no such thing as semi-automatic weapons or small, easily concealed handguns.

It was crafted when there was no such thing as gang warfare or drug-related murders.

And you ask WHY the government AND IT'S CITIZENS should be concerned with these matters???

Why do you need to carry a gun around with you!? I can understand keeping one in your home, but just walking around?

Patriot Act takes nothing away from me, revoking the 2nd would.

You just admitted yourself the guns aren't the problem, drugs and gangs are. And the writers of our Constitution weren't stupid, they knew technology would change. Do you understand how significant the development of the flintlock rifle was in their day? The percussion cap? Madison lived to see the earliest revolvers...several shots, no reloading between each...the "semi-autos weren't around when it was written" sort of argument was trashed by the Supreme Court. It doesn't only apply to what was around back then.

Oh, you've obviously not researched gun history much, easily concealed guns were around back then anyways. This key gun is a replica of one from around, what, the 17th century or so (being a matchlock): Dixie Gun Works muzzleloading, blackpowder and rare antique gun supplies.

Just wondered - glad to hear you're not a hypocrite.

But don't you think that SOME gun control is a good thing? As I said in an above post, the 2nd amendment was crafted in a very different age with very different weapons in mind.

Don't you think we need to take into account the modern weapons? Don't you think we need to take into account that too often guns are used by people in order to commit crimes, not to defend themselves?

I'd think they'd be holding on to them.
