Stick around my lil chipmunk, even YOU may learn something they didn't teach in February.

Bad example. Lynchings are committed by a mob without a trial.

Do your history. A higher percentage of Repubs voted for the Civil Rights Act than Dems including Senator Al Gore Sr.

So I guess if I take a dummy of a cat and hang it from my porch, that means I abuse animals?? NO! Lighten UP!!!
Am I missing something? Is the homeowner who hung the Sarah Palin effigy not white?

touchy subject....
Get over it. Who really cares? Hanging is hanging and it causes death.....doesn't matter the color of your skin. If an effigy of Palin is OK, then an effigy of Obama is OK. Or vice versa, if an effigy of Obama is not OK, then an effigy of Palin is not OK.

We are all EQUAL....right? Isn't that what MLK wanted? Equality?

Well guys, equality is here. When and if Obama is president, he better be able to take the same ridicule we have dished on Bush these last 8 years, without everyone screaming "racism". Equal is equal. Fair is fair.

My point is that neither is okay. Both are hateful, vicious acts and should have been taken down. But, the Palin effigy is just part of a halloween display. I'm sorry, but there is something really warped about that type of display. It doesn't matter if it's aimed at black or white, male or female, it's wrong. I know the history of black hangings, it's wrong, very wrong. But so is the hanging of Palin.

You must have no clue how bloody things were from the time of the Civil War, the decade and a half before and also after. Plenty of Whites lynched and murdered. Bleeding Kansas ring a bell? Beecher's BIbles and so forth...
