Yeah, that's sad. My mom lives on little money too with multiple health issues, more than she can pay for, my dad may never be able to retire.
But you know what? They never learned to manage money in all their life. They never saved even part of what they earned and to this day they waste more moneythan I can figure out where it goes.
Sad huh? You see, to most sad stories there is a back story. Something you don't see, something that usually relates to personal accountability. But BO isn't interested in that part of the story.
OMG are seriously suggesting that anyone having money problems, are having these issues because they don't know how to manage money?
My favorite Obama quote is "There is no Liberal America, there is no Conservative America, this is The United States of America!" w/ a true vision to UNITE this country & work towards the future.
SO much better than the other side, who has done nothing but stir up hatred, fear & division in their campaign. Finally after 8 long years,we have some hope for the future, & I for one am DONE letting the fear-mongering,hate-spewing republicans get to me. Time to look to the future!!
It's harder trying to shop when there are children at home. How hard it is (here) when 6 months ago 4 bags of groceries was about $40 (generic names, coupons), today the same items in 4 bags is almost $70. And we're seeing less of a product, smaller ounces per packaging.
Inflation. Of course when the Fed releases their numbers, they exclude food and energy as if those aren't necessary. The money being tossed at failing banks is only going to drive the costs up higher. Oh sure, we might see some prices falling for a short period, but just enough to put people out of work as the companies that sell and make these items have to compensate for the lower prices. Then, we'll move back over to inflation.

Most of us face these problems every day in one way or another and I for one feel like we've done it without any care whatsoever coming from the POTUS's office for the last 8 years.I think that's getting ready to change shortly.I think he sounded very level headed and the few fears I had about him were eased considerably tonight.Maybe you right wingers should start buying your tickets out of the country early.Cheaper that way.

To be fair, there are people who made bad financial decisions. They bought too much house, took out too much credit, spent more than they earned for years. But there are others who have lost their jobs, seen their wages decrease as prices of food and gas increase. These are the people Obama is talking to.

Nah, only the hollyweird left threatens to leave and never does.
I liked it and thought Obama was very professional. He interracts well w/ others and didn't waste his words on bashing his oponent. He came down to many American's levels, something harder for McCain to do when he's not sure how many houses he owns . . . let's see, is that 7 houses and 7 cars? Most of us can't relate to that.
