I'm not failing at anything....you left wing wack jobs said Obama was "Change" and "Hope" and would restore our status in the world.....now we will be attacked???? Can't have it both ways nutjobs....so which will it be.....is Obama Change and Hope and other empty words? If not then by his own VP choice he should not be president as it is an "office that is not for on the job training" and it is "above Obama's pay grade" when we are attacked!

Keep drinking the kool-aid kidicarus89.....I hear there is a large shortage coming on November 5th......

Today, we are viewed with a far more contemptuous and skeptical eye and we have lost a fair amount of why other nations wanted to be like us, which was our benevolence.

Before placing this all on a single man we probably should give some closer examination of our policies which are just as if not more important than the man executing them.
I actually spent 9 years living overseas in the 80's to the 90's and the US has been viewed poorly since then.....Has nothing to do with our policies and everything to do with our success....it is tough to be on top and many despise our freedoms and choice of free enterprise which has created the most successful country in the least amount of time. The world started to dislike us years ago....do you remember a little thing called the US embassy in Iran? Stop listening to American propaganda from MSM and educate yourself. This is not new and has nothing to do with Bush or the war in Iraq.

This went far beyond protection and into socialism of our 401K's....congress wants to take away your ability to invest in your 401K and have your employer match those contributions....they want to socialize our 401K/Roth IRA retirement acc't's....wake-up this is how it starts....we all know how successful Social Security is
They will also dbl. tax you on the money as you will no longer be taxed on the amount after you contribute but the whole amount and as the Bush tax cuts will be allowed to expire you will be dbl. taxed on your Roth IRA and college 529 plans. Why would those things be talked about if they were just trying to protect our 401K plans?????

French President Nicolas Sarkozy is very critical of U.S. presidential candidate Barack Obama’s positions on Iran, according to reports that have reached Israel’s government. Sarkozy views the Democratic candidate’s stance on Iran as “utterly immature” and comprised of “formulations empty of all content.” Sarkozy told Obama at that meeting that if the new American president elected in November changed his country’s policy toward Iran, that would be “very problematic.”
Sarkozy believes that an Obama administration would undo all the efforts of Europe, allied with the United States, to force Iran into giving up its nuclear program. Obama, Sarkozy believes, will be likely to destroy the multilateral alliance against Iran and, instead, agree to directly negotiate with Iran without any preconditions.
Europe considers negotiating without preconditions with Iran to be silly, possibly counterproductive and dangerous.
Step out of the box of MSM and American Propaganda.

Ah, so we're not "real Americans" now?

Well, if Obama wins, I'll still be in my Red State, where the economy is quite good, watching from afar the increasing dismay as those who elected Obama expecting loads of goodies to drop into their laps remain goody-less! And when Obama announces that, oh my, he actually can't immediately withdraw the troops from Iraq, will y'all cry? And when the Blue States wait for all of those "green jobs" to come rolling in but they discover that some of the Red States have already been working on alternative energy and the "green jobs" are here and won't be opening up in Michigan, I suppose you'll blame us and not Obama?

When he discovers that the country is broke and he can't do his expensive healthcare plan or the college "corps," well, sorry! But, he speaks eloquently, doesn't he? I hope that y'all are content with that little bit of "change."

Do you roll your eyes when conservatives say such things?

I'm pretty sure that's why the poster you responded to said that, by the way, because some righties have been puking out bile like that.

Default Change?

We have had a Democratic Congress for two years and they have a 20% approval rating, which is lower than Bush. They haven't accomplished anything except make meaningless resolutions. Why would we elect a Democratic President? From my reading Congress and Obama do not feel the same about many issues.

the democratic congress promised change for americans, and that they would get out of iraq and lower oil prices. neither happened under the democratic watch, but a lot of taxpayer funded bailouts happened. we now have chrysler being guaranteed a bailout, approximately 9 to 10 billion, yet they will be cutting jobs with the merger so where do you think that money is going? we also have more democratic hypocrisy (for show), with waxman complaining about the CEO salaries of the 9 bank that have received 125 billion of taxpayer money, yet he voted for this bailout, as did harry reid, who also voted for the bailout! democratic party members sponsored the bailouts and voted as a majority for it (although some good democrats did vote against it). i hope people see through this weasel-like behavior on election day and vote all the pro bailout people out of office!!

Yes, for the better:
  • Lowered income taxes for all Americans (not just the rich), and even a larger percentage pay no income tax at all.
  • Until recently (before the Democrats took control of both houses of Congress), lowest unemployment rate in 50 years.
  • Took appropriate military action against our enemies after an attack on U.S. soil and has presided over a successful (so far) "war on terror", as measured by:
    • No further attacks on the U.S. or it's ships at sea.
    • Number of Al Qaeda leaders killed or captured
    • Number of enemie (so-called "insurgents") killed
    • Toppled the Taliban in Afghanistan
  • Liberated an entire people by removing an evil dictator, and with the help of those people, established a democratic government.
  • Strenthened our intelligence operations and capabilities, in part by removing a "wall" between agencies put in place by Jamie Gorelick, which had hindered our operations, and likely was responsible for the success of the 9/11 attacks by our enemies (Much of what had been accomplished has now been undone by Democrats who put our enemies "rights" ahead of Ameiricas safety).
  • Overall (for most of his term) strong economy, until the DEMOCRATS mortgage scheme (which Republicans had warned about) finally came crashing down, as predicted.
Much more could have been accomplished were it not for the opposition party which is more interested in it's own power than what's good for America and Americans.

Hmm, seems like you may have indigestion. Take some Pepto-Bismal and lay off the Kool-Aid. That will help.

Why do Obamaphiles seem to love using indigestion-related verbage and attribute it to McCain supporters? Weird.
