It actually worked out very well. Thanks to that post we can be assured that the Israeli government had no concerns about Khalidi so why should we.

IRI did on a number of occasions vet CPRS as an organization, including, as was our custom, with the Israeli government, and we were given no cause for concern.

The relationship extends back as far as 1993, when John McCain joined IRI as chairman in January. Foreign Affairs noted in September of that year that IRI had helped fund several extensive studies in Palestine run by Khalidi's group, including over 30 public opinion polls and a study of "sociopolitical attitudes."

That's HARDLY supporting terrorist activities now is it?
Oh and Obama is?

The attack against Obama is rooted in his association with Khalidi . If we are going to explore McCain's association so as to dismiss any criticism then we should do the same with Obama.

And Gordon Liddy, McCain's GOOD FRIEND, tells people to blow the heads off federal agents. You seem to be o.k. with that association though.

Who is this so called mad bomber? Are you implying this get together exchanged information to be used in violent acts?

Ayres is an educational authority figure in Chicago who teaches at the same University Khalidi and Obama taught at. The faculty of the University held this going away party for Khalidi so why wouldn't Obama or Ayres be there.

People in educational, intellectual, activists, community help oriented, political circles do interact with each other owing to their professions.

And you're right but conversely if there was a party for all the local gas men would Hitler be invited?
