I know Im cutting it close, but Im still rather undecided as to who Im voting for.

What are Mr. Obamas plans for our military besides a timeline for leaving Iraq?

Does he plan to cut pay for our soldiers, or to decrease the size of our military itself?
Does he plan to get rid of our nuclear weapons?

I ask these things because I have not heard him speak much about it. My boyfriend is in the Navy, 2 close friends are in the Army, and another few are in Marines and Air Force.

So this is definately an issue as to whom I choose. Any information given would be appreciated.

Pay cut, probably not, reduction in size and inferior equipment, guarantee. Anyone who served before and after Carter will verify this.

There will most likely be cuts in some big-ticket items, however, he has said repeatedly that he wants to increase the size of all branches of the service and specifically increase the size of the army by 65,000 troops.

From his website:

Why a reduction in size? Does this mean that our boys will just be discharged? What happens to those who want to stay in?

NO pay cut. Increase in education funding for veterans (which McCain is against, remarkably), reduction of useless bases, elimination of uselss military programs.

He will not get rid of Nuclear weapons. We never will regardless of who is president.

I don't answers for all of your specific questions, particularly regarding pay which by the way is set by Congress.
