You guys certainly know how to put a spin on the article. Read it a little more closely:

"Those stakes have led Mr Obama to conclude that while expectations need to be tempered, big things need to be achieved very early in his first term, when he will still have the political capital to achieve some of his most ambitious legislative goals."

Also read some of the comments on the article. Lots of Obama SUPPORTERS and not by all Amercians either.

Can't wait till those people find out that they have been scammed. This is too funny. But, those of us who know politics knew that it was all a scam.

Obama Lays Plans to Kill Expectations After Election Victory
Confident in an Election Day win, the campaign looks to lower supporters' expectations on concerns their hopes of 'change' are unrealistic, a senior aide says, and that Obama himself realizes that the expectations are unrealistic.

By Tim Reid, The Times of London
Barack Obama's senior advisers have drawn up plans to lower expectations for his presidency if he wins next week's election, amid concerns that many of his euphoric supporters are harboring unrealistic hopes of what he can achieve.
The sudden financial crisis and the prospect of a deep and painful recession have increased the urgency inside the Obama team to bring people down to earth, after a campaign in which his soaring rhetoric and promises of "hope" and "change" are now confronted with the reality of a stricken economy.

Barack Obama lays plans to deaden expectation after election victory - Times Online
of couse, if he will be the next president we will hear 4 years of excuses and blaming Bush!!!! We already know he is a whiner and all journalist with real questions will not be allowed.....one thing would be nice...to see (if he get's elected) how the foreign media will handle him, or is he going to deny access to them as well....wow good bye the support from Europe if that is happening, they don't like arrogance and ego's!
