Doom and gloom all the way. I didn't watch, but I heard about that family with only a pint of milk between them - and also they didn't look like they were wanting in the least for eats.

We get it. The self ascribed mantra, if you are not white, are less than 6 feet tall and weigh more than 80 lbs. by certain people's standards you are considered fat. Boy it never gets old with certain immigrants desperate for white American acceptance does it?

Getting over 33 million people to watch your 30 minute ad is pretty good. I'm sure McCain would love to have such a "flop" on his hands.

My husband and I watched it. We are both voting for McCain. Did it change our minds at all? Not a single bit. But his speeches, their content and his demeanor have not appealed to either of us from his start in Illinois.

So, you didn't watch it but you're posting about how bad it was.

Get a life.

A large portion of the viewers likely viewed it out of curiousity, or because it was before their game they were waiting for. How many of the total viewers watched the entire ad? Any way of knowing? How many looked because they were curious and changed channels within a short time?

Seems like Republicans are enamored by this type of endorsement. A plumber named Sam and now to info ad actors. It this their answer to Bill, Hillary and Al Gore? Undecided and thinkers consider all and make your intellectual decisions yourself.

According to the link this is the percentage in those markets that did watch Senator Obama.
In comparison, just 29% of Philly households and 23.4% of Tampa Bay households watched Barack Obama’s infomercial in the half hour leading up to what proved to be the Phillies-Rays’ final game.

He didn't do as well as the home town teams did later but he did do better then the McCain production that followed.

Well, the program had several purposes - NONE of which was to convince hardcore Obamabashers that they should vote for him.

The first was to sway some undecideds to vote for Obama. I would say it worked to a certain degree.

The second was to energize his supporters to get out the vote and not to be complacent. It this respect it probably worked pretty well. With virtually all the polls showing Obama with a very comfortable lead, Obama;s biggest threat is complacency among his supporters - and I think the program went a long way towards making sure his supporters stay energized, excited and on target towards the common goal of Obama's election.

With those types of goals I would not expect ANY Obamabashers to find anything good in the program so it's not surprising that some folks here are trashing the program. They would trash it no matter WHAT the programs contents were.

Default obama has nothing to offer!

Basically it was a waste of money and full of lies!

obama never was and never will be ready to lead America!

Get out and vote for McCain!

obama is deadly dangerous for America!

I was one of those, I already cast my ballot, I just wanted to see what he had to say.

I wouldn't call it a flop, unnecessary, perhaps, but they had no idea what the numbers were going to be like at this point, and they booked the time WAY in advance.

If I had to call it anything, I'd call it benign.
