In certainly what feels like one of the longest running election cycles in my lifetime, a lot has happened. What do you think are some of the more memorable moments and what do you think have been the most important aspects of the most momentous political cycle?
I'll start by saying it was the first truly techo election cycle that reached into new mediums of communication and presentation with the internet and on demand videos.
As a side effect of this, politics has reached an all new segment of society, the younger voter. While traditionally the most unpredictable and most unreliable voting segment, their exposure and familiarity with these new technological mediums has brought them closer to politics. Whether or not they turn out on voting day waits to be seen but at least they are being exposed in a way never before imagined.
Oh, and the historical fact that no matter what party wins, there will either be an black man or a woman in the White House. Something totally unthinkable not so long ago.
