I was under the impression that he got a slap on the wrist from a congressional committee for "bad judgement".

If there was a court case against McCain, that he subsequently was found "not guilty", I'm having trouble finding evidence of it.

That doesn't mean you are wrong - but maybe you could locate a link to the court case, or a news clipping?
