Obama-53%

McCain-42%

Gallup says the group it surveyed is mostly made up of voters who fit its "traditional" model of those likely to show up at the polls. Also among the 2,472 are some who have already voted -- including first-timers.

McCain's choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as his running mate doesn't appear to be wearing well with most Americans. In the poll, 45% of registered voters rated the choice as "poor" and another 18% said it was "only fair," while 19% called it "pretty good" and 16% excellent.

Final USA TODAY/Gallup estimate: Obama, 53%; McCain, 42% - On Politics - USATODAY.com

That's the RV model, which is useless at this point.

The LV model I is 8 today, down from 10 yesterday.

But, but Sanrene you told me that the polls are media driven and biased, in fact you were quite adamant about this, so what's happened? Have all the polls suddenly seen the light and hired new unbiased and undriven by media statisticians?

The national polls are 2 - 11. Pick one.

I like that Pew poll - was 15 last week, now 6.

Which is why we have an average...which is currently 6.4%.

I'm sure you must realize that 6.4% is landslide territory...Clinton won the popular vote in 1992 by 5.6% and garnered 202 more EVs than Bush.
