So? Haven't you heard? Not everyone blames the mortgage crisis solely on Fannie and Freddie. And after the Maverick also voted for the bailout legislation, picked a VP candidate that has touted a windfall tax on the free market, and wants to buy up bad mortgages, there's little that can be said about socialism that doesn't hurt him as well.

Oh you haven't heard that the Dems blocked every attempt at stopping the mess from happening
Score one for McCain. He was in the group of people trying to do something about it. I hope-- if he loses-- he stays intact enough to still be a watchdog for stuff like this in the Senate.
I'm voting for Obama this year. Any lefties or Independents who thinks the OP is more smear and BS, it's not. You can read about in a brief, overview article here:
To those who do post smear and bs: This OP is the kind of credible, legitimate argument that you damage by burying it in a steaming pile of cr*p that no one wants to sort through to find what's real and what's not. You're shooting yourselves in the foot with that stuff. This ^ is the kind of post that would get you swing voters.
EDIT: (On the other hand, Miborn does the post no favor by having "Obama has TERRORIST connections!" Chicken Little quote under his/her name. Sorry Miborn, just noticed that.)
The New York Times reported on Oct. 6 that Democrats vigorously opposed the Senate bill, calling it "fundamentally flawed," but I haven't found, so far, any specific Obama reference to Fannie and Freddie at the time.
Still, let the record show that the Republican Party, which controlled the White House, the Senate and the House of Representatives in 2005, was unable to pass legislation reforming how Fannie and Freddie were regulated.
You must not understand the basics of this problem.
Nice charts. What vote are they supposed to respresent?
