You'd be angry and confused too. He thought the presidency should have been his in 2000. This was his last shot, and he got beat by a young punk senator (in McCain's mind).

From September 15.
Jonathan Martin's Blog: Palin outdraws McCain - Politico.com
The McCain response to the Dem tweaking: Scoreboard.

That's what the team that is winning says, usually with a finger to the scoreboard, when their opponents try to talk trash.

"Scoreboard check," said McCain spokesman Tucker Bounds. "They’re hurting in Florida — our attendance on a Monday morning is better off than Barack Obama’s empty rhetoric and absent record — that won’t deliver change."

McCain continues to enjoy a solid lead in Florida polls, and top papers in the Sunshine State have published stories in recent days suggesting it could be an uphill battle for Obama to recoup.

Tis best not to get cocky and say scoreboard check during the first quarter.

I just saw him and he seemed tired and reading talking points from note cards. He just went from topic to topic as he went through every campaign talking point. Odd!

And? That has what to do with my posting?

Key word: CNN.

GG.
