and Bill O'Reilly offered McCain a FREE 1/2 hour of air time on his show on the same night/time of Obama's infomercial...Why wouldn't he have taken advantage of that? Bill O'Reilly also said he would have traveled to where ever McCain was at the time...

McCain was given time on CNN during that slot. Makes more sense to hit the undecideds watching CNN rather than the republican base watching Fox News.

McCain doesn't want to talk about himself, it is not a winning strategy, not much positive stuff to talk about, the strategy is to go negative.

He said he has a much larger independant viewing audience. He said he was the #2 station among indies...

This spot was not a free 30 minute airtime in the form of a speech or infomercial. It was a free 30-minute interview with O'Reilly, and McCain has been blasted pretty hard by O'Reilly in the past..

However, some of the choices his campaign have made.. make no sense to me.

In the past few days, Mack has picked up Cheney's endorsement. He doesn't need O'Reilly now.

McCain is a centrist who picked a more right wing vp candidate to appeal to the base. He has no need to appear on O'Reilly Show, which is too controversial for most viewers. O'Reilly, by the way, is a libertarian.

McCain probably realized that taking that slot is only preaching to the choir. His entire base watches nothing but Faux!
