Nope, sorry. Obama is what we need.

Plus, this is a ridiculous line of reasoning. Abortion is already legal and gay marriage isn't going to hurt anyone. The key words here are "consenting" adults.

I'm still laughing at the absurdity of legalized rape.

This country is already moving towards socialism. Pouring money into banks, propping up the markets, etc... What is all of that if not the government intervention that republicans are supposedly so opposed to?!

I'm voting for hope. I'm voting for change. Yes, I'm voting for Obama!

However, a vote for Obama is a nail in America's coffin. If we vote for someone who will "spread our wealth around", presumably more than it already does get spread around, that moves us closer to socialism.... which inevitably means higher taxes.

If we vote for someone who will wreck the moral fiber of our country by effectively declaring that "what's right for you is right", systematically tearing apart our legislation that was based upon necessary moral tenets and replacing it with "everything is okay and permissible", we will lose strength and dignity as a country. Let's face it... some things are just plain wrong and if we try to deny that, chaos will surely ensue.

You can argue gay marriage and abortion all you want to... but if we declare those "okay", what's next? Bestial marriage? Burglary? Rape? Murder? I promise you, anyone who perpetrates bestiality, burglary, rape, or murder believes that it's "okay" to do that stuff. Where do we draw the line? Where will we stop moving that line back? Think about this!

I don't care what other candidate you vote for... but PLEASE... DON"T vote for Obama. Mark my words... I promise you, you will eventually come to wishing you had never voted for him, if he wins. A lot of damage can be done in a four-year presidency.

WHY couldn't you have posted this two weeks ago? I had no way to digest all of your well-reasoned arguments for opposing Obama before I voted early.

Now it's too late!

After Obama wins, America will be going straight to hell in a handbasket. And you could have prevented it. But no. You were "too busy." It's all your fault. I hope you're happy now.

Yes, I am a Republican. No, I am not happy with everything Bush and his cohorts have done in the last eight years.

However, a vote for Obama is a nail in America's coffin. If we vote for someone who will "spread our wealth around", presumably more than it already does get spread around, that moves us closer to socialism.... which inevitably means higher taxes. (Been to Canada lately?) If you really want to spread the wealth around, let me ask you... do you spread your own wealth around right now out of the goodness of your heart? Do you give to poor people who don't work so they can be wealthy anyway? If you don't, why don't you? (Could it be because it's YOUR money and YOU earned it... so you don't feel that someone who didn't earn it should have it?)

You may believe that it's incomprehensible that something like rape might be seen as okay at some point in the future... but realize this: 1) There are plenty of people all around the world who believe rape is okay. (If there weren't, nobody would rape anyone.) They could organize and fight for its legalization... just as homosexuals have organized and fought for legalization of gay marriage and drug users have organized and fought for the legalization of certain drugs. 2) When my parents were kids, premarital sex among teenagers was major taboo and a teenager who got pregnant became a social pariah... largely shunned by her peers. Now, teen pregnancy is seen as "normal" to the point that sex education programs are being pressured to include information on safe sex and how to handle pregnancy... and to the point that teenage girls will make "pregnancy pacts". This would have been totally unimaginable when my parents were teenagers. (And let me ask you... has this new thinking about sex between unmarried teenagers, and teenage pregnancy, really been beneficial to America?)

What stuff will America allow to become commonplace which I never would have imagined possible in my teenage years?

Why is it that the rest of the world wants Obama to be our president? Why is it that he has so many "undisclosed" (and most likely illegal) foreign donors who are trying to buy this election?

Don't you realize that America has been the world's foremost superpower for so long that the rest of the world wants a piece of the action? Extremely powerful things or people are always being considered for overthrow. Now the rest of the world sees a chance at undermining the USA, and we're buying into it?

I'm not here to say that John McCain is the best choice for President. He was never my first choice, by a longshot. I don't care what other candidate you vote for... but PLEASE... DON"T vote for Obama. Mark my words... I promise you, you will eventually come to wishing you had never voted for him, if he wins. A lot of damage can be done in a four-year presidency.
Sorry I read this to late and already did the Obamanation thing. Do people realize that we will be changing our passports. Not only will your picture be on your passport but it will be placed under the picture of President Obama.

I have already voted, and honestly, I have (unfortunately) accepted the fact Obama will win. Can someone please explain what you mean when you say you are 'voting for hope'? I have heard this a lot, and other than that inspirational, emotional appeal of the statement, I really have no idea what it means. I am not looking for an arguement or a dig against anyone, I just want a rational, logical explination.
