I only pray he's forced out of office (impeachment 2010!), or that the most damaging crimes that will be perpetrated by him and his ilk will be filibustered in the senate.

I really don't think that prayer will be answered.

I was very gracious in defeat 2000, and cooperative after the 2004 debacle.
Hopefully most people will be able to work together in 2009.

There's enough red senators for the latter. The former may happen if the latter doesn't.

An impeachment would be a very bad thing for this country. Wishing for such would be akin to cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I think the red senators have more sense than to attempt what you're praying for (in terms of the former.)

At times it's needed.

LOL If they don't succeed in filibustering any AWB or other gun ban you can kiss congress good bye in the mid terms just like 1994. Forget the backlash against the original AWB? You better hope they do if you like the dems so much.

Hey, man, the Roman christians prayed for the emperor, and he was actively persecuting them. So I think I can handle praying for a president I disagree with. Also, doesn't the bible say something about praying for your leaders?

And if you think he has poor character, why don't you pray that he'll get some?

So now its time to work together? Mind telling Pelosi that? The last 2 years were worse than the first six combined.

heh
The Lord works in mysterious ways, arctichomesteader, but I do know a couple things.
I don't think gun bans, or gun ban backlashes, are at the tippy-top of the agenda.
I also don't think your prayer for impeachment will come to fruition.
I even think that our country *might* be able to unify just a little bit.
