I couldn't believe reading this - but a robo-call from the McCain/Palin team started today in Cuban areas of Florida - trying to scare people into voting for McCain...

The exact text of the message is below..

I hope McCain gets trounced tonight. He is not honorable at all - that is one of the big lies of this entire campaign...

Urgent: I am calling on behalf of John McCain to tell you that today at 1:28 this afternoon the independent news organization of Reuters reported that the Cuban dictator, Fidel Castro, has given his support to Democrat Barack Obama for being smarter and more sophisticated than John McCain. Just like Hugo Chavez, Daniel Ortega, and Evo Morales - the brothers of Castro prefer Barack Obama. Don't give Castro what he wants. Go vote right now for John McCain and avoid establishing in the United States political policies like those of Cuba. There are only a few hours left today to vote for John McCain. This call has been paid for by McCain/Palin 2008.

This kind of GOP political smut will go on to the bitter end when polls close, and afterward if there are legal issues with the voting.

It was on CNN - not really a trolling thread. The Republicans don't give up with this kind of thing - coming up with something at the last minute. Ridiculous.

I got my first robo-call today, but it wasn't THAT bad. Just said some web site to look at.

Trolling does not include posting factual information Moderator cut: cut

My source of information was CNN...

It is another example of the vile tactics that McCain has stooped to in order to win. He has lead anything but an honorable campaign... His so called 'honor' is nothing but a facade that he hides his dirty tricks personality behind.

Here in NC we've been hit with graphic and vile robocalls about abortion. I guess they pick their audience. Not only is he going to lose, but he's officially lost his morals. What a sell out, and what a sad end to a respected military and senate career. I hope to see the old McCain come out with a book in a year or two denouncing the campaign and what it turned him into.

Well it's true, Castro and other such dictators support Obama.

After the smut he has sanctioned in this campaign, he doesn't deserver anyone's respect - for anything...

He's just another lying, low-life politician who would gladly sell his soul to the devil, or screw his own mother, for a chance to be President...

I hope he looses in a landslide...

I hope his Republican buddies take a beating also...

I'll be so ecstatically happy if this happens...

First of all, no personal attacks, no matter how strongly you may feel about something.

Second of all, you provided no links whatsoever.

Third, a troll topic is one that was intentionally posted to cause a flame war or one sided debate, therefore this is a trolling thread (of course, half of the topics in the '08 election are that way, so I guess we can't hold you accountable )

I don't agree that it is a troll thread given that the stated information on the call was factual. The rest, yes was an opinion but a lot of threads get posted with opinions around here.

Frankly, it is a vile call and I'd say that of any candidate past or present.
