You're welcome here in Scranton. We're a bunch of Bible-thumpers who voted a slam dunk for Obama.

Its pretty much over, Obama is the next president, the democrats have pretty much a filibuster proof senate, and soon to be house... I think it will be fun to watch the next 4 years... who are the Dems going to blame for the next 4 years of overspending and increases taxes instead of the promised tax cuts and "smart" spending? I suspect everyone will be even more miserable next year and we can actually blame the Dems this time around... can't wait.. finally we can expose the Dems for what they truly are... socialists..

I see that as a very ******** person myself, not the people who actually believe in their religion or that don't wish to see the country slide into the abyss of liberal cultural policies.

I think you need to calm down and savior the victory and stop blaming things on others.
Too late we have sunk to a new low.

Good job on the flyover states for voting McCain. You acted like good little robots and voted the way your church told you to.

!!!!!!!!

Actually it won't be over until the Electoral College casts their votes on the monday following the second wednesday in December. (December 15th.) They then send the results to the President of the Senate who announces the winner on Jan 6th in the presence of both houses of congress. Most of the states do NOT require their electors to vote with the popular vote, so whoever wins the popular vote tonight, it does not mean that they will be our next president. I'm taking EVERYTHING I hear tonight in regards to the winner with a grain of salt and waiting until Jan 6th. You never know what will happen.

Those are not the only reasons people did not vote for Obama. If you are so sickened by your state, please leave it and shut up. You are the sorest winner I have ever seen.

It will be interesting when they have no one and I do mean no one to hide behind anymore. It is all in their hands...Good Lord save us all.

Same story in my Texas. I stated on another thread that I was going to call the other six Obama supporters in my city (metro area population 160,000) and have a rally in my living room. It is nearly that bad here. But the Republicans have both senate seats, all local and state seats, and the House seat for our district.

There are people who voted for McCain who didn't do it for those reasons. I don't even know if I've ever been in a bible-belt area. People do things for their own reasons, and we should respect that. I voted for McCain, but I live in NYC. If I couldn't at least co-exist with people who didn't think like I did here, I would never be able to leave my apartment. Ultimately I've figured out that I can have a really good time with the people I don't agree with, and drinks will be on them tomorrow anyway.

If you want to judge your politicians, that's one thing. They're putting themselves out there, and they expect to be judged.

Don't judge your neighbors.
