Now she can pal around the child of pregnant unmarried teenage daughter with hardly interruptions.

Nah, she'll be taking over Ted Steven's seat in the Senate ... can't wait for the day she gives a hearty "how do you do" to McCain ... I'll be watchin' C-span that day ... you betcha!

First of all, I am not entirely convinced Palin is a dumb as all of you say. Look at her effectiveness (and approval rating) in Alaska before she was the VP nominee. I know for a fact she was not prepared for this election, but I place more blame with the GOP than her. I have always had this feeling that she was forced into a role which wasn't really her by the GOP. If you look at what she has said which made some people in the McCain camp say she was 'going rogue' it was some fairly insightful stuff. It just wasn't what republican leaders wanted to hear. I think she needs two things for a successful run at the white house.
1. 10 more years experience
2. the ability to run on her own terms (and not the GOP's)

That being said, you people are unbelievable! I am guessing you are the type who if playing football would purposely get that late hit in just to be an a**. Show some class.

I have never supported Obama, but as he will be my next president, I will start now. It's like some of you aren't happy unless you are bashing someone else...

Don't care about sports.

I didn't wish anyone ill--I just said I don't like them and I'm glad they lost. If that's classless, oh well. I don't think I need to be especially classy on an internet forum, anyway.

...And if McCain had won, I would not support him, just as I refused to support Bush for eight years.

Nah, there are plenty of other things I can do to be happy, too. Just speaking for myself.

I think we haven't seen the last of Palin. I didn't vote for them and don't think she was prepared and did think that they would have done better in the polls if the stuck to what they are going to do instead of dirty politics. I think if she got schooled the right way that she may be a great asset to the GOP.

She needs to stay at ONE university and get a degree in Political Science.

I know that's not the way you meant she needed to be schooled but that would certainly help. =]

Believe me, I wasn't talking about you. I was talking about Obama. You may support him, but you obviously don't support his hope for unity.

I don't take your hatred for Palin personally at all, but hatred eats away at your soul. Only you have to live with that, not us.

Welcome to the dawn of a new day
The race is over, the fight should be over. It's time to move on. Do you honestly not get that? Debates get tough and ugly, but the winner takes it all. You give in and shake hands across the net.

That's how this country was founded and I believe in this country as one nation more than anything else.

And everything we stand for is most definitely not lost. Is this really how you live your life? If your candidate had lost do you honestly believe that everything you stand for would have been lost?

That's just sad ... no other word for it.

I personally think we should support the leaders of our country. When the next round of elections come up in two years we will have a chance to change things again. Until then, There is a lot to be said for showing some patriotism and supporting your president.

Well, I didn't think you meant me specifically, just Obama supporters...I'm not quite that self-centered.

Hmm...well, like some other things he said, it's very vague and broad. I'd have to think about what exactly it entails. Just one issue, but I've spent enough of my 26 years trying to be 'unified' to some degree or another with homophobic individuals like Palin, and I'm not interested in doing it any longer.

I don't think so. I think that's just what everyone says, and then everyone else repeats it because it's a popular view. I'm not convinced. I know enough happy people who also have some hate in them.

However Sarah Palin has catered to the lowest common denominator, she has distorted, misrepresented, lied, slandered, and pushed an anti Obamma campaign she knew to be untrue and calculated to pander to racists and hate mongers to a large degree.
On top of that you can not seriously tell me that this woman has the ability to lead this country based on the answers or lack thereof she gives to the press when unscripted. If she did not know an answer she attempted to two step around it and that herself clever. She seriously lacked the intellectual depth and knowledge to address the issues that the nation is now facing.
People did not accept her because they saw these issues along with other issues that in good conscience precluded them from accepting her.
Her sex had nothing to do with this, her lack of class, integrity, and ability had everything to do with it.
Good post addressing those who are now using the "sexist" card to whine....their whining is music to my ears!!!!
