The faces of the people in the crowd during President-elect Obama's speech were wonderful. It's all there. The future is brighter today than it was yesterday. I know that our problems as a country are not going to disappear in four years but for the first time in a long time, I have confidence that we will again be a country to be reckoned with, a country that will again be respected world wide and as citizens our futures will not continue in a downward spiral.

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO, YES WE CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree! There is something to be said for giving hope and motivating countless people. Also giving people a sense of responsibility and accountability. I am so glad we are giving this man a chance to turn this country around. I really think that people respond to him, and since people are what moves this country ahead, if we get the people thinking in a positive way, we can really, finally get somewhere.

This is a turning point for not only this country but for the world. With the global community we live in, we need to have the respect of other countries and we have completely lost that over the years.

Obama's speech, along with the people in the crowd, brought tears to my eyes. I love that he mentioned that 106 yr old voter, I heard about her the other day. I was very moved and touched.

I also though McCain gave a wonderful concession speech. He is a wonderful man, much better than he has been portrayed, or allowed himself to be portrayed lately. Palin was a bad pick for him, but he lost with grace, and I believe he has the best interest of our nation at heart. Both candidates did.

I have no idea what I am saying at the moment, but I am very, very excited!

Uhh the McCain supporters look at him for what he is... a politician. Obama supporters are completely swept off their feet, crying, chanting.... they would do anything for that guy. Of course he had to go with a diversified following, its the only way he would succeed.
