I have never been prouder to be an American. An 8 year national nightmare has come to and end. This is a complete repudiation of the Republican hate, fear & war mongering strategy. Obama won because he appealed to people's better nature: hope, unity and inclusiveness. Let's hope he stays behind bullet proof glass because you know how that scares the foaming at the mouth right wing wackos.

Congratulations to Obama. I didn't vote for him, but I wish him the best and pray for his strength and wisdom. I sincerely hope he leads our nation as well as his supporters believe.

ditto. I have wanted a real third party that was more middle ground. with only a 3% majority vote I hope OBAMA does not let wackos like Pelosi ruin what could be a real new start. I truly believe that this countries vast majority is in the middle area of how we want are country tobe.
