yeah, apparently one of the girls is allergic, so they're looking at hypoallergenic breeds.
Are puggles hypoallergenic? There is an extremely cute and intelligent one at the Loudoun County Animal Shelter right now. They were showing her last night, and she's playful but not too hyper. I sort of like the idea of a president who likes "change" and "unity" having a hybrid dog. Summer the Puggle gets my vote. And she's just an hour's drive from the white house...
update: oh, I see Summer the Puggle just got adopted. Maybe it was the Obamas? Could be.... Here she is if you want a sneak peek at the possible white house pooch:
