Is too much attention paid to his race, or is such attention warranted and necessary?

Thoughts?
Couldn't get more divided than it has been over the past eight years.

Election Reporting
There is only a 571 vote count difference (with some irregularities) at this point so a mandated recount is in order. Nothing is determined yet.

I think we'll be more divided; not because Obama is black, but because Obama is ultra-liberal. I don't have anything against Democrats in general, and voted for Clinton twice, but Obama scares the hell out of me.

Sorry you don't want to welcome the change and do your part

What exactly is "my part"? Would that be falling "lock step" behind our fearless leader? Joining his "civilian security force"? Having my health care be mandated? or simply footing the bill?

I'm also a gramma and I for one don't welcome the change, my country is sliding swiftly toward socialism and away from the liberty it was founded on. My part? Pray. Pray for God's will on this country, pray for God's mercy on this country. I won't become a groupie for Obama.

Correct.

Besides, the economy will be further in the tank within the year and most Obama backers will be looking for work in the fast food industry pretty quickly.

If people listen to the media, then yes we will become ever more divided

But, if people listen to their hearts and embrace their fellow man (or woman) and accept his or her differences and communicate and listen to each other, then no we will become more harmonious as a people

Well, I was hearing, "This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius, the Age of A-QUAR-I-US..." but, yep, same sentiment, different song.
