Your absolutely right. But they may cry over the fact that they had to wait for it to happen.

No more, "Wheres my equal rights. cos I'm black". That attitude will now ne laughed at.

You beat me to it. Just goes to show you, while racism is still alive and well--about as alive and well as reverse racism--things aren't nearly as bad as they've been trying to make everyone believe.

But, there are a group of younger people who will start other problems and these problems won't just go away. I feel sorry for kids in school because many will be trying to intimidate non-Blacks now as they'll see this as a license to kill--so to speak. I know, I saw it happen at least twice between grade and high school--once when our White principal was replaced by an African American woman and again when our White teacher was replaced by an African American man. The students got real belligerent, started bullying--mainly Whites, as if all Whites have done something to them--relentlessly, and even violent toward anyone they felt they could get away with intimidating. I have a great piece of advice for them and anyone of any color who behaves like this--Get your face out of everyone else's business and put it where it belongs, in your school books. Become cultured and learn how to behave in society and you'll go far.

Racism is and always will be a part of our society because there will always be ignorant peoplel among us. And yes, it does go both ways.

Hate to say it, but just because Obama got elected doesn't mean racism is gone, or even that it's no longer an issue (although I wish it wasn't). My own mother is a racist, and while people can change, I don't see people like her changing anytime soon.
