I think we're at a point similar to where we were in the 1850's. Heavily, bitterly divided. If the government wants to maintain unity and prevent an outright rebellion (whether peaceful, as in states seceding without being violent in the process, or violent as in outright shooting at government agents or rioting or whatever, there's no way of predicting what the reaction will be), it needs to tread carefully and lightly.

I don't think any of the above makes you a low life; I think it's all quite commendable. But now that this is over, I'll lay my cards on the table and ask what was Sarah Palin doing on the high moral standing platform? She was pregnant when she got married, and her daughter at age 17 got pregnant.

President BHO has promised to destroy my country and most of what it stands for. He has already earned my disdain. The only bit of respect I will toss his way is the use of the term "President," a degree of respect most on the left never afforded our current President. I respect the office, the man sitting in the office is a travesty.

Explain what health care system he wants to use that has been proven to fail. Make sure you are talking about HIS health plan, not Britain's, Canada's, France's, etc.
Explain what you mean about destroying your children's opportunity to learn from competent teachers. He is the one supporting charter schools.

They are just hate-filled sore losers... They've been taught to hate by the Limbaugh's and Hannity's of the world - what would you expect???
Just ignore them - or respond and trash them as they deserve...
But take comfort in the fact that they are completely irrelevant...
They have NO POWER to do squat for at least the next 4 years - and most likely the next 8 (at a minimum)...
They have lost the youth vote, the Latino and Black vote - they only have the Religious Right in their corner - so as far as I can see -they are a minority party for the rest of my life...

Actually most of the angry GOP'ers learned how to hate other politicians by watching the MoveOn & Kos crew react to Bush.

Heard the same thing in 1992. That lasted 2 years.

MR bob...why do you insist that all Republicans are hate-filled losers?? Many have congratulated you all on your big win on Tuesday!! Most have been gracious both on TV and here on this forum!! I actually see more hate-filled winners who just can't resist being ugly toward anyone on the right! It's really outrageous and very juvenile on your part! You all won, now get on your knees and pray for the President Elect...he will need all the help he can get because of people out there, like yourself, just waiting to trash him!
