Israel violated the cease fire. They found a tunnel from a house that they believed was to be used abduct more Israeli soldiers. So they blew up the house, sealed off the tunnel, and launched a few missiles into Gaza. Palestinians retaliated. You see, without that context, your argument might have some merit, but it doesn't. This has nothing to do with Obama, and everything to do with the conflict that has been waging for decades, no centuries.

Israel fired on Tuesday, BEFORE the election results would have indicated that Obama was the President Elect. Maybe they were congratulating the United States over choosing someone, anyone to replace Bush.
