George Bush didn't get here all by himself, he had the benefit of a majority republican congress pushing through his agenda. Why should we believe that the democrats will be worse then the republicans?
We didn't have full control. We had a president, a simple majority in the house and senate for a period. Even without party line crosses, the democrats were still able to filibuster at will. Did you not watch C-Span and many of the key congressional hearings?

Now, we have a democrat president, a democrat majority in both the house and senate with the prospect of even possibly a super majority depending how some late election prospects turn out. Even if they do not get their super majority, they are close enough that the few "RHINO's" (Republican in Name Only) will give them complete dictation of the votes.

So now, anything, and I mean anything the democrats decide to do, will likely pass. This may be good in your eyes, but we feel due to our differences and the past actions and behavior of the liberal congress that this could mean some extremely poor choices in and how it relates to the direction and purpose of this country.

That is not to say that republicans have not made poor decisions and with the bailout, you can see that we do not agree with their choices all the time, but keep in mind that the democrats also voted for this and the only reason the bailout failed the first time was due to republicans opposing it. Only because some crossed party lines to vote for it did it pass the second time.

The ball is in your court. Play it wisely with the power that is now afforded to you. We fear it will not be played wisely, but then that is speculation and time will tell. In the end, if things do not go to your liking, there is nobody to point the finger at, this is a democrat run government now fully and completely. There is nowhere to hide, no person to blame but themselves if they go too radical.

Conservatives hold many trepidations concerning this and fear the consistent polices of democrats will hurt the economy and our ability to combat aggression in the world. Again, time will tell, but as I said, the ball is in your court.

My advice is to ignore those that post anti-Obama information... it's just a bunch of lies and distortions..

You see, some people just throw a temper-tantrum like a 2-year old when they don't get their way!!!!

A lot of these people can't tolerate the idea that an African American is going to be president - so they will do all in their power to make sure he fails...

Problem is these poor folks are morally bankrupt, and completely impotent - they couldn't influence the pro-Obama tidal wave that is sweeping the country if their lives depended on it...

When you see people making negative, anti-Obama, based on nothing but fear and hatred postings - just feel sorry for them - they are a pathetic lot and you should not be negatively influenced by them...

Just my two cents - but priceless advice...

I agree with you on this point, but I also feel the same way when people do the same thing to Bush! I don't like it when either party is attacked on something other then verifiable substance.

My main point was that the republicans had control for so long, and we went from a gov't surplus to a huge deficit, and then they turn around and say that they are fiscally responsible . I don't necessarily think that a democratic majority is a good thing either. There is a reason our system is suppossed to be set up with checks and balances, to do our best to avoid situations like we are in now.

But there are many examples of how BOTH parties will try and blame the other party for something they have also done. I guess that's just politics!
