You need to check his voting record in Chicago/Illinois senate and in US senate bill by bill; every vote is anti-gun.
His theory is that we need to "control" guns in the cities... from gangs and criminals. last I checked, they were not supposed to have them in the first place if they are criminals.
Once you "control" them in one place.... it is a slippery slope. Just enfore the blasted laws we have.

Look up the name of the German govt at the time. They called themselves a Socialist Republic.

right now in Wisconsin, each and everytime you buy a firearm from a dealer, they are required to give you a gun lock with the firearm, last time I bought one, I tossed the lock into the trash right in front of a batf agent. it made my day to see the look upon his face when i did so.
after all, most shooters know that gun locks kill people.
Personally I don;t think Obama will do much against legal gun owners. He is already on thin ice with consevatives and those who value their right to keep and bear arms legally. If he goes after guns of those who obey the laws and have them legally, the backlash would be unprecendented.
His plate will be full for the next 18-24 months dealing with the economy and the guaranteed testing of his "metal" that Biden promised. Oh, and by the way, I agree with Biden and from the news today, his metal is already being tested. Russia, Iran, N. Korea all playing games.
