I usually like her clothes too. I was shocked when I say that dress, "black widow" was my first thought. Then I thought well maybe it's just me, but I googled black widow dress and up came all these hits for Michelle Obama's dress on election night so apparently I'm not the only one who thought that.

It's actually been on the runway, but it looked a lot better on the runway model. I hate to say such a horrid thing, but Michelle can't pull off a dress like that. She's a little wide in the hips.

I didn't vote for Obama but I certainly don't want anything to happen to him, either. I have worried for 8 years that someone would make an attempt on Bush's life. I just wish she'd picked a different dress.
this thread really takes the cake. What in God's name is a black widow dress? No, I don't think she was making a statement. i think she picked a dress. Do you have to read into everything?

Actually it looks great in the first photo at Harper's Bazaar's front page - Bazaar.com

They had a spread in September with Tyra Banks modeling gorgeous Michelle-style clothes but I dont see it now.

At least she was wearing a dress and not a towel. At least she was wearing a dress paid for out of her pocket (I assume) and not the DNC. And who cares what she wore......she is going to be first lady and she does not have to answer to any of us about her clothing. Let alone an Obama basher.
