Hmm...what does ancient literature say about cell phones?

Here's some literature 3000 years old in fact, perhaps we should utilize prudence in our literary selections?

If you lay siege to a town,
you will exhaust your strength.
3. Again, if the campaign is protracted, the resources
of the State will not be equal to the strain.

4. Now, when your weapons are dulled, your ardor damped,
your strength exhausted and your treasure spent,
other chieftains will spring up to take advantage
of your extremity. Then no man, however wise,
will be able to avert the consequences that must ensue.

5. Thus, though we have heard of stupid haste in war,
cleverness has never been seen associated with long delays.

6. There is no instance of a country having benefited
from prolonged warfare.
Sun Tzu

Nothing new under the sun, then, they wrote it down for a reason.

I'm just looking at all of these negative "can't do" posts and can't wait until they are all proven wrong. You people are sad... what is it??? Day 3? He has not even been sworn in yet.. Just wait until he gets the ball running, he and his dynamic administration will be on fire, and hit the ground running.

I will keep resurrecting this thread as he makes good on his promises and won't exclaim I told you so, but you will be reminded by your own pessimistic words and reflect on how small you most likely feel at each moment

Don't accept any financial aid -- let Obama have that money for his plans.

Get out and make sure you spread the word. Create some new businesses and employ those people without jobs. Pay them decent wages, at least $60,000 a year. If your businesses make a profit, turn it over to Obama so he can use it for his government. In this way you can prove your love, words are cheap after all. And don't forget "Yes you can!".
You now are clued! Republicans say yes you can, Democrats say yes we can.

I will say yes you can. I'm stopping my 401K contributions today. It's up to you people now. You have to make your Messiah a success. You should get some businesses started, pay your employees at least $60,000 a year, you need to get some heavy investments into the stock market because as you can see, it's going down fast. If your businesses make a profit, be sure to donate those to Obama's government because he really does need that money. Start spending your money -- make sure you buy many Christmas presents this year, and be sure to donate some to charity.

The ball's in your court. Get off the welfare and foods stamps, get out of the college financial aid lines. Get off your butts and make things work.
