sounds like common sense to me. Who the hell needs an assault rifle? Why are gun owners so opposed to have their guns legally registered and have background checks?
Do gun owners think they are living in the 1800s?
No,they did make it illegal to own one and put certain cosmetic features on the firearm...
Also it makes these types of firearms prohibitively expensive.
What a crock. The ban on "assault rifles" was a joke and the only thing that made them "prohibitively" expensive was the panic buying of folks who wouldn't have normally bought one, desperate for acquiring one. Personally, I made a small fortune buying low and selling high before the market dropped out when it became apparent that the same weapons were still available after being cosmetically altered.

Since most gun crimes happen in the hood BY FELONS that might be a good starting place for your documentary.

Both sides in the argument were just being silly.
No it was the lack of firearms to buy...
And to this day pre-ban firearms still command a premium even with the number of new models out there.
Glad you made a fortune,I rarely lost money selling....
yes I believe in the Bill of Rights that doesn't mean guns shouldn't be regulated. What do you think guns are for if not to kill? Obama is not going to take your guns away. Geesh some of you people are paranoid as hell.

Well actually it does mean firearms shouldn't be restricted, which Obama's own website has stated it will do....
Being able to marry is not a Constitutional right...possessing a firearm is.
What is the purpose of a waiting period when criminals don't buy firearms legally?
Felons by and large can't own firearms....
its a freedom of religion issue for them, the state isnt seperating church and state on that one..
as well as a civil right issue, discrimination.
I know a few people sitting in jail who had legal guns that did stupid things.
Your friends did something illegal, making them criminals.
Their guns didn't cause it.
