People can try to lay the blame of the last 8 years on Obama ALL they want. He can handle it. Dude can stand up in front of crowds of THOUSANDS in the open air, even after all the numerous death threats he has recieved, and he has NO FREAKING CLUE how many OTHER people have threatened his life. Dude must have b*lls of steel.
Yeah, I do think he is brave for that...I can't imagine what the gov. agencies deal with in trying to make sure he is safe.
Still doesn't change the fact that his policies...SUCK! and he can't do even 1/10 of what he ran on.....

He already basically said it but not straight out when he said we may not be able to do it in a year, maybe not even in one term. Many of us knew it was coming but didn't know it would happen so fast. As someone else said this might have been a good thing to mention before the election.
He's gearing up to lay more blame on the republicans, conveniently leaving out the democrats responsibility in the whole mess, the same democrats who said they have no power there, blahblahblah. But they sure seem to come up with the power to sing their praises when something is successful.

Your last comment goes for any politician. As for the economy thing, I only foresee Obama having to remind the US that things were, are and will be crappy for a while. We can all lay partisan blame but guess what, while people on CD and elsewhere rant between the political parties those who got rich are continuing to get rich, bail each other out after the fact, and probably laugh as they secretly know that they caused this mess in the first place. Things were bad months ago, and unlike the need for instant gratification we are accustomed to in today's society the economy, built on 15 years of debt build up and savings decline is going to take more than 15 minutes to fix.

That's true--to a point. I've seen both sides do it. But, being an Independent who votes both dem and rep, I see it coming a helluva lot more from the dems. The reps have their problems too. This just happens to be the one I'm talking about right now.

and what do you think of the greatest drop in the Dow the day after an election?
