yeah maybe, but he will act suprised so he can raise everyones taxes and have the liberal left go along with him.

Why would Obama say that it was worse than he thought, when he's been saying that it is as bad as it is for the last 2 years? It wasn't Obama who stated that the fundamentals of the economy were strong.

He said from the primaries in a depressed stance that it will be hard, won't be easy. Then we heard in his election speech that change may not come in the first term...he could have told us this a lot sooner.

When my parents bought their first home years ago, the interest rate was about 12%. Like I have said before. You can buy a box of pasta alfredo for about 82 cents. It would feed 2. Movie Theaters are packed, restaurants are busy, even on waits on the weekends, there are jobs available (might not be that job making 80,000 to start) but you can get a job, we have unemployment benefits and gov. assistance for those that don't make the effort....all of this while in a time of war? Fundamentals are there.

We might be in a bad economic condition right now.....but quit crying, the world has not ended. Obama has proposed a HUGE number of spending....for more gov. funded programs...that he cannot fulfill and YES HE HAS proposed to fix it......

Don't forget that your beloved dems are the ones that claimed Fannie and Freddie were fine....hello Frank. All the while Bush was trying to warn and fix....how many times do I need to make this point?

I do think we have an even bigger problem now that Obama has been elected. The money hungry Republicans are not investing and not taking risks when it comes to business. They are waiting...holding their money. The economy is a cycle. But it sure didn't help that BO got elected. Get ready for the speech!

Ah....HELLO???? Obviously and what you guys are gloating so much about, there are MANY more democrats right now than republicans.

Exactly WHY don't the majority which is democrat voters get off their rear ends and do some investing and taking risks when it comes to business. Why don't YOU stop waiting and let go of your money.

The ball is in your court now. No one is stopping all of you from starting businesses, paying your employees those living wages and paying your businesses taxes to your new government.

Notice today in that press conference, he only spoke of sacrifice and no more of that "yes we can" attitude. He could manage to insult an old woman who just got out of the hospital because he saw that as a way to throw mud at Republicans.

Today Obama sounded pathetic.

You clearly have NO idea just HOW MUCH damage Bush and the Bible-thumping Republicans have done--to this country and the world.

I've never seen such hateful Americans as on this thread. The man hasn't even taken office yet, and already your rabidly wishing him--and this country--ill, just so you can feel vindicated that the lying s.o.b. you voted for--the one who divided this nation and spread hate for months on end--wasn't voted into office.

The world has had it with the neo-con bent on destruction. It's over. Done. Just like the Ohio journalist Connie Schultz said, when the Republicans were bragging about being able to win Ohio: "I wouldn't be so sure. We have a saying in Ohio: God don't like ugly." And Ohio went to Obama.

So get a clue. Nobody cares what you think any more.
Maybe they don't care what you think either. You speak of hateful Americans , but are you against the Bible? Calling McCain a liar not true, they both exagerated some but Obama is manipulative, street smart, a wheeler dealer type.

Actually not the worst economy since depression, though Obama said it was. Were 6 meltdowns since the depression, and Carter's was a worse recession than is right now said the economists.
