Not his fault yet but the next four years will be. Just like Bush is solely responsible for the last eight years.

Yeah, last summer all the libs were complaining that gas was $1.97 when Clinton left office and will be $5 when dubya leaves. Doesnt look like thats going to be the case and when we get the Iraqi infrastructure online supply will be easily met going forward. I will expect all of the whining cowards to come back here and lay praise at the feet of George Dubya Bush

Presidents have no effect on gas prices unless they apply windfall profits taxes like Carter did. Markets control gas prices. Less demand = lower prices. The economy has slowed and it being reflected in ALL commodity prices.

However, Obama has stated publicly that he has no problem with high gas prices as it will spur aternative fuels. Meanwhile, people can't put gas intot heir cars to get to work. Real spart there pal.

According to Barack Obama, high gas prices don’t really constitute a problem for Americans. He stated yesterday that the reason for our anger is the rapid increase in prices, not the prices themselves. Obama claimed that Americans would have accepted a “gradual adjustment” to the current cost
