Have you visited Change.gov? - What do you think? Looks like transparency is coming to the White House....

I like it. Great name too.

I really want to see what he does with the executive orders and signing statements of the past few decades. I hope he also looks at Clintons.

America Serves | Change.gov

Don't like the Peace Corps tripe. Local community service perhaps. America first!

I seem to recall him saying he would review every Executive order that had been instituted under the current Administration...did you catch that one?

Yep. I hope he sticks to it and doesn't side with what he likes versus what is Constitutional.

I'd like to see the ideas first...if it's community service (middle school) served by cleaning up the school yards...some of them need it....heck, some of these kids think the trash can pops up where ever they drop a piece of paper...

The only problem I see is that this could lead to more dropouts from kids who have no home support. They won't be willing to work for their degree if they aren't already willing. It'll be a tough line.

Looks more like a well thought out re-election website to directly distribute positive propaganda to his supporters.

Honestly, not a bad idea, but I would be willing to bet dissent will be totally absent from that site no matter what.

Well, it's a site meant to educate people about his ideas and positions, not a discussion site.

Obama has already worked on legislation to provide more transparency in government. I could be wrong, but I think one of his targets is to put the entire budget online for review by anyone. wal? Is that right?

Great concept. I think President Obama will recognize that the American people are the "deciders".
