Guess what the hottest scam in DC is? That's right, it's time for the con artists to claim you need to buy inauguration tickets.

That's right, inauguration tickets are free. If you pay money for a ticket, you'ved just kissed that money goodbye. If you paid $$$ for a dance with Michelle at the ball, you've been had. If you paid $$$ for a photo op with Barack, you've been had. And if you paid money for a special seat in the presidential motorcade... dude, you've really been ripped off!

How do you get tickets? Contact your congressman. Tickets will not be distributed until one week before the inauguration and must be picked up in person.

Thanks for the tip. Can you imagine what hotel rates will rise to that week in anticipation of the crowds?

No kidding. Everyone who has a closet, a tool shed, or maybe even a pantry to rent out will be making money.

I called our Congressman the Washington office and they have a list. I doubt we will get any but it never hurts to try.
