These guys either need to fire their publicists, or listen to them, one or the other. For those who will say it was just a joke, let me know when the punchline is supposed to come. And look at that dope Medvedev laughing along.
doing a mans job, the left have to be more tolerant of people outside this country.
I may be all off here, but if Italians are anything like the Mexicans and Mexican-Americans I know, they often joke and give people nicknames based on their color without meaning anything rude or demeaning. "Guero," which means someone who is pale or blond is often used as a nickname, as is "Prieto" which means someone who is dark complected. They also give people nicknames based on body shapes and types which we'd never do here. It's uncommon for someone's nickname to be "Gordo," which is "Fatty" or "Flaco" which is "Skinny." And sometimes fat people are nicknamed "Flaco" and vice-versa.
We may be more color sensitive than Italians and may be reading more into his comment than he intended.
I think he meant that as a joke. He's known for his comments anyway.
If he said some mean words, and then said "tanned" then, that could be passed as something else.
But I think he was complimenting him, in a silly way.
And yeah, lots of Italians look tanned, some of them may look like Obama...
I am of 100% Italian descent, and he shouldn't talk. We're "tanned" as well.
Because alot of italians have black blood like president obama.
That's white people little secret from places like turkey, spain, italy, and greece.
The real Alexander the Great looked like barrack obama.
