Thats nonsense nononsenseguy. Every Republican I know feels that Sarah Palin was a HUGE liability to Sen. McCain and forced many many long time Republicans like myself to not vote for him because of her.
What is your source for this?
I know many people who voted for McCain because of Palin
I know many people who voted for McCain because of Obama
What's your point?
You can bring up "individual" statements all you want. The affect Palin had is undeniable. Simply look at her rallies. She brought excitement to the ticket.

I am not a Republican, but I voted for McCain because of Palin. In fact, I consider McCain such a liberal that I put him slightly to the right of Hillary. All you have to do is to look at his voting record, and all the bills passed along his Democrat friends. Back when Kerry ran against Bush, it was thought by the press that McCain would be his running mate (this fact was published and you can find it on the Internet). Then he passed the McCain Feingold bill which ended in the creation of organizations such as "moveorg.com" and others, some of which recently opposed him.
Palin energized conservative Republicans and independents, and right after her appointment to VP, donations started coming in to the Republican candidates. When McCain ran in the Republican primaries, he got a few votes in Alaska, but that was not the case in the presidential elections where Alaskans voted over 67% for McCain, and a little over 39% for Obama, a clear indication of how popular Palin is with the "conservative" Republican and independent in Alaska. She is not liked by the McCain moderate Republicans, however, but in my view these folks (along McCain's compromising politics) are the ones who have almost destroyed the republican party.
You have CNN coming out today and admiting many of the stories and reports about Palin were either outright lies or out of context. How very nice of the commie basstards after the election is over.
I can assure there are many in the media, mostly based out of the San Fran area that are going be lossing their jobs over this.

If you look at the number of votes, you will realize that at least in the popular vote count, McCain was not too far from Obama (52% Obama versus 46% McCain). But since what counts is the electoral vote, most people don't pay attention to the popular vote. McCain is just too boring, and just at the end of the campaign he seemed to have awaken.
Rasmussen Reports™: The most comprehensive public opinion coverage ever provided for a presidential election. (http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/election_2012/69_of_gop_voters_say_palin_helped_mccain - broken link)
Like the article states: favorites four years out from a presidential election quite often do not get the nomination. Obama, for example, was just an Illinois state senator four years ago, and Hillary Clinton appeared a shoo-in for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008.
According to a post election poll, (Rasmussen) 69% of GOP voters say Sarah Palin helped McCain.
This is in direct contradiction to staffers who thought she was a "liability".
91% of Repulicans have a favorable view of Sarah Palin. Only 8% have an unfavorable view.
64% said Sarah Palin would be their top choice for President in 2012, next to Mike Huckabee (12%), and Mitt Romney (11%).
From this, it is clear that it is the Republican Party itself (and in particular, the McCain campaign staffers), that are responsible for the trashing of Sarah Palin.
Well, I guess you REALLY can fool some of the people all of the time. The GOP is living proof, eh.
And votes they got. Are people so shortminded that they forget that McCain was a NOTHING going in to the primaries and then was a NOTHING until Palin was selected?
Jesus. Open your eyes people. Turn off the mainstream news and think for yourself. Among the Republican base PALIN WAS VERY VERY VALUABLE.
Im still shocked that people think Obama is a great candidate. He spent something like 600 Million dollars yet this was NOT the blowout that was expected. Did he win handily? Yes, but he was up against a s--t Republican candidate. You put up a good Republican candidate and Sarah Palin and Obama would have lost this election.
Im actually willing to say that with the way the economy turned, if Romney had been the nominee we would be looking at President Romney right now.
