Legalize Prostitution and tax that too.

Privatize all services municipal government provides. Current local governments do not pay taxes. Private sector operators do. They also pay gas taxes and business licenses fees.

Have to agree with all of these here. When I lived in Germany prositution was legal and I saw absolutly no problems with it.

Holland is real lax with drug laws but it has it's good an bad points. But definatly cuts down on the criminal element which therefore takes care of prison overcrowding.

And privitizing services by municipal governments is a no brainer. Talk about waste of a taxpayers money and lost revenue.

We'll fund it by printing more money. Everyone knows that money is a magical green piece of paper that can create goods and services out of thin air! More green paper = more goods and services. We can just print our way to getting everything we ever dreamed!

The OP asked how it would be funded, I suggested it would takes cuts as well as funding. Your response so far is to call this bunk then blame illegals for our ills.

So do tell, Bryan, how do you think we should fund it?

Teddy Roosevelt did it to a degree. So did FDR and Truman.

Will it be easy? No. But it's not only possible, but necessary.

I really have to question the patriotism of these corporations who continue to ship jobs to foreign countries, layoff American workers, and pay their upper tier managers millions of dollars. Smacks of treason to me.

Treason? Those corporations are not owned by the United States. They are multinational companies that have their own interest at heart and that's all. They may be immoral but they don't owe the US government anything. Truth be told, most of them have corporate headquarters in other countries, or are owned by foreign corps. They are loyal to no one other than their shareholders.

You're right. We will see stagflation for a long time.
