My state of Alabama is interesting. Obviously the state went for McCain but Birmingham went blue. Also, you can very clearly see the region of the "Black Belt" of Alabama stretching across the state. This area includes Montgomery, the capital, and numerous very rural, poor counties with a high black %. The name apparently has a double meaning, first the high percentage of AA, second the black color of the soil in this region. I was a little taken aback when I first heard this term (I'm not a native), but historians also use this term.
New York - 62.2%
Manhattan - 85.1%
Brooklyn - 78.9%
Queens - 74.4%
Bronx - 88.2%
Staten Island - 47.2%
McCain:
New York - 36.7%
Manhattan - 13.8%
Brooklyn - 20.2%
Queens - 24.6%
Bronx - 11.3%
Staten Island - 52.2%
Something tells me I ought to move back to NY! Those numbers for Obama are beautiful. Can't say the same for the state I live in now... Every county went Republican where I live, but I live in a pretty neutral small town, so it doesn't bother me right close, but those numbers make me so proud of NY! I am glad that I was born and raised a New Yorker in all of the diversity
It seems like the most red state was Oklahoma. Obama did not win any county there. None whatsoever.
They fixed the elections in Oklahoma. At least that is what people who sat in the 4 hour lines, all voting for Obama, with a record turn out of Dems this year think.

Really? Do you have a source to back up your allegations?

Somebody needs to dig into this from a legal perspective.
Yeah that was very interesting to see. I love New England! Blue as can be.
