Let's compare how money was spent-

Obama spent his on advertising and paying staffers.

McCain spent his on clothing for the Palin family.

Who won??

So feminism and privacy only applies to Liberals evidently.

Simple minded? Really. So because she speaks more like the person next door, from her heart, passionately, and just plain real, she is therefore simple minded? She should live under a rock? Does where you reside somehow determine the level of your intelligence?

How "elitist" can you get???!!!

This post reminds me of an MSNBC pundit just this morning who stated she needs "media training" .... she needs to get her "talking points" straight.

That's exactly what I like about her. She says what she believes straight out. She doesn't pull any punches or stick to the laid out "talking points" like the rest of the politicians. She walks her own path, not the one laid out for her by her "handlers".

I am so sick and tired of politics as usual and all the rules attached to it.
I don't even know where to begin...but I'll start with the fact that you're giving this average woman way too much credit. Pulling her into the campaign would be like pulling me into a company that I've never been a part of as CEO...I have no business there and neither did she. The things the McCain campaign claimed she did were debunked pretty quickly...she exaggerated a lot of things she did, so she did fit right in to the political arena!

Palin gave people a lot of reasons to question her...she did it to herself. For the most part, during the campaign w/McCain, she did NOT say what she thinks straight out -- she was fed information for the debates and when she coulnd't answer with a canned response, she went on to another subject where she could give a canned response. The few times she did talk freely, she showed her lack of understanding about people, places, and situations. Why do you think the McCain campaign kept her out of the public for so long? It wasn't out of confidence in her, that's for sure. If you are comfortable with these things in a possible leader in our country, then I think that's crazy. Now she wants to ride the coattails of those who pulled her into the campaign and possibly run for President in 2012. If you thought Bush was conservative, Palin is much higher on that scale.

As for being elitist, questioning her does not make someone an elitist.

The words "elitist" and "socialism" and "terrorism" are the most overused & misused words in our language right now. They're thrown out there in order to have some effect (like a cuss word) but now they have no meaning because it's clear that most people don't know how to use those words.

Another one-liner no comment.

So that any person responding is forced to interpret your meaning. And then you can hide behind your comment, "that's not what I said, that's not what I meant"! Passive-aggressive argumentation 101.

It's doubtful that new girlfriend will be around for very long

The complaints surrounding the money spent on Palin's wardrobe was a media driven issue.

When a person contributes to a campaign, we don't get to decide how the money is spent. We donate the money to run the campaign and get the candidate elected. We give a gift and we don't determine how that gift is used.

By the time the money was spent on Palin's wardrobe McCain's campaign was no longer privately funded. So the argument presented was that Obama could spend his money any way he wanted (and he did) because it came from private donations, but that McCain was using money that came from taxpayers. That was the whole argument.

The fact remains that Palin did not go out and spend the money wildly on clothing. The clothes were purchased in several sizes (not knowing what would fit) by the McCain staff. All the clothing purchased was given to charity at the end of the day.

So the purchases were never made by Palin directly yet she took the hit for it.

The fact is that Palin has a 91% approval rating with Republicans and the Democrats absolutely despise her. They will latch onto anything and everything they can to grind her down and hopefully spit her out. That's what all this is really about.

I voted for McCain...but I'm not a Palin fan. I hope she goes away quickly.

She just isn't all that intelligent, sorry...truth hurts.

All this slander just shows how much of a threat they really feel she is to them. People don't get all worked up over stuff they don't think about 24/7.

Doesn't that make you people first class ignoramouses?

That was a rhetorical question.
I enjoy Palin bashing because of her lack of knowledge of basic issues.

you need to expand your reading sources. I mean she is being drubbed for the last couple of months with lots of negative from many a year being said.
