I too, am an educated woman and I like Palin. There are many of us out here. She probably isn't ready to be President, or vice President yet, but as Govenor of her State of Alaska, she has accomplished more than most women who put her down as stupid, and uneducated. I wonder how many of them have gotten as far as she has, at her age, despite all of their claims of being so elite, and educated. Being a Govenor is not a small thing to attain--so when all of these highly educated women reach a comparable goal, then they may be justifiedin vilifying S Palan as stupid, and trashy. I think she is quite admirable.

I don't think it's comparing my accomplishments, which I am justifiably proud of, to Sarah's. Sarah is simply not ready for prime time. Period.

I had heard somewhere that a similar thing happened to Queen Elizabeth at some point.

I'll admit that I am not as intelligent as Palin nor could I govern any state; not even Alaska being as sparsely populated as it is and a majority of that population not being as educated as most other states.

All I'm arguing is that, in my opinion, she doesn't have the education, the intelligence, nor the demeanor of a person that is so close to being the most powerful person in the world.

We know she doesn't have an Ivy League education or even a law degree. Even Bush has degrees from Yale and Harvard. Obama has degrees from Columbia and Harvard Law School. Michelle is even a lawyer.

And, as far as demeanor goes, I want a President who act's like a president. Not a folksy, cutesy beauty queen who sometimes acts like she's still trying to gain points from the judges for being hip and contemporary by winking and not pronouncing the "g" in words ending in "ing."

In many respects she may be admirable. Especially admirable to those in Alaska. But I personally want more from a Presidential candidate. That's why I didn't want to see her as vice president now, nor a presidential candidate in 2012 nor anywhere in the future.

Don't forget about the Bidens. Jill has 2 Masters and a PhD and Joe is a lawyer. The "First Dude" won a snowmobile race.

I'm too poor to be a snob, but I really want other countries to look up to us and I don't see how they can if we fail to set higher standards for ourselves.

Excuuuuse me but ALL Americans have the FREEDOM to criticize someone who is camapigning to lead them...ALL.

Not just those ELITE who think they've "accomplished" as "much" as Palin!

There may be people who haven't been elected to a governorship because the sitting governor was a crook but they HAVE accomplished much more than Palin AND on their own merits.

There are even women who accomplished quite a bit WITHOUT their husbands holding their hands!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sarah Palin on the Issues

Being forced to have a baby that you really don't want to give birth to is oppression.

So once again, she's full of crap.

No, I know absolutely nothing about your job, don't care about it, and I should have removed that portion of your post. I wasn't even sure why you brought it up since your job has nothing to do with your job. I was disagreeing with this part of your post:

She does not say what she believe straight out. She read speeches. She couldn't even say, straight out, what newspapers she reads, probably b/c she doesn't read any! That is just one example.
As for the interview with Greta, doesn't matter whether she is "sympathetic" or not ... the interview in unedited, Palin is very forthcoming, direct and intelligent. This morning I saw a similar interview with Matt Lauer who isn't in the least sympathetic.

I'll ignore any further criticism from you since you refuse to even educate yourself about Sarah Palin and instead obviously base your opinion on internet blog sites, etc., rather than actually listening to the woman speak.

Absolutely true. However, Sarah Palin is not campaigning to lead anyone now. When she does, go ahead and punch. But this thread began after the election. And I only continue to post here because I'm so sick of the blatant lies that have been put out there about this woman and so I'll continue to defend her for that reason.

Whether she will or will not make an effective leader in our country is not known. But all the blatant lies and rumors is just getting awfully tired and I'm positive you all must have something else you can argue about.

You guys want it both ways. If we listen to an interview, whatever, we're obsessed and jealous. If we say we've had enough of her, we're "refusing to educate ourselves".

You, singular, really jumped to a conclusion about someone you don't even know from a cake of soap. I don't read any internet sites about her other than this one. I don't read blogs at all. I've learned what I know about her by reading (gasp!) mainstream media like the daily paper, Newsweek, and watching (gasp, gasp!) CNN and the traditional networks.

What blatant lies? Perhaps you could list a few that have appeared on this thread. A lot of us just said we are sick of her.

So Greta threw her a few softballs. My daughter took a politics class this summer at the communist, socialist University of Colorado. It was taught by a former military officer, if you can imagine such a place hiring such a person! Anyway, they were taught that there are several types of interviews, and Katie Couric has a reputation for being sympathetic with her interviewees. Sarah could not survive that, b/c Katie actually asked her some questions of substance, albeit in a sympathetic wasy. And the communist, socialistic MSM said Sarah refused any prep for the interview. Was that evidence of her great intelligence, or her great arrogance?
