and....has been brought up on many ethics charges before the campaign and during it.

How does that make her more qualified than Obama?????

Doesn't that make you people first class ignoramouses?

That was a rhetorical question.

GEE! You must be a busy man to have personally interviewed "all the people who have known, met, or worked with Gov Palin over the 40 odd years that she has been on this planet".

Or are you just posting basless blather?

Where is anyone getting the notion she was qualified in the first place

I know, that I know, that I know.......that she was NOT qualified in regards to being VP or Pres. for that matter.

As far as her character is concerened, I have never really bashed her in that respect, I do not know her personally. Although, I do question some of her choices and her demeanor throughout the campaign.

I don't think close friends of hers and family members is enough to convince people that she was qualified for VP, they are not looking at the situation objectively.

What's sad is that you fail to realize the breadth of Palin's "executive experience". As mayor or Wasilla, she didn't have any control over any of the social services for the city. The only thing she really did as mayor was hold staff meetings, and sign checks. Not exactly the kind of executive experience needed to run the nation.

Call me an elitist. In public office I prefer someone who has traveled, graduated from one college (in less than seven years) and has mastered the english language, as well as diction. Also, someone who is educated about legislation and law-making (like Obama).

I dont elect people based on popularity, how they appeal to "joe sixpack" or what their antiquated values are.

Well, she didn't blow 100 million dollars that was supposed to have been spent improving underperforming Chicago public schools, you are right about that

For those who haven't seen the interview with the current Wasilla mayor, I recommend that you watch this before challenging the post above. The whole video is worth watching, but the part with the current mayor starts about 2 minutes in.
