Doesn't that make you people first class ignoramouses?

That was a rhetorical question.

Whatever; rhetorical or not; I've only "known" Palin for a few months and I don't like the woman. If this is wrong or I am wrong, then so be it. By the way, Sherlock, do you want to know why people attack her lack or morals and character? It's because she attacks other people's morals and character. She preaches too much, but then falls short herself. If she would wouldn't have been so self-pious and put herself (and her family) as the moral compass of the U.S., she wouldn't have been attacked so much. You didn't see people picking on Cindy McCain's expensive clothes or jewelry, did you. That's because Cindy McCain doesn't put herself out to be the average, everyday hockeymom; she is herself. People can smell a phony and that's been the problem with Palin. Maybe she's "real" with the people that have known her for 40 years; if that's the case, then more power to her. However, the minute she was nominated as the VP candidate, she started in with her hockeymom, pitbulls with lipstick talk, you becha's, shout-it-outs, gosh darn it folkisms, the "I can see Russia from my bedroom" talk, etc. I don't know if the GOP told her to do that, but in any case, she DID it. Really, she wasn't ready for the Big Boy Club of politics, no matter her intentions. I don't know if the GOP used her or not (they most likely did), but hopefully she'll learn a lesson and start being herself if she is indeed "different."

Based on what I've seen so far, it seems that she covers up lies a lot. I don't know if she lies with intention, or lies as she goes along, or what, but when cornered about something, instead of fessing up to it or explaining why she did something or believed something at the time, she denies it and doesn't own up to it. She denies a lot of things that are documented. She seems to attack people who question her. She seems to think that she is above question and accountability. I think that she would make a good dictator. Unfortunately, we've pretty much had enough of that for 8 years.

She never released her medical records even though she said that they would be released. Her handler said that they weren't "ready". I'm not sure what this means.

She seems to like to live the High Flying Adored lifesyle but claims to be the average everyday hockeymom. For example, when McCain and Palin parted ways, McCain drove himself from Phoenix to Sedona in his own SUV, WITHOUT Secret Service detail. Palin and 18 family members and friends left in in a celebrity style type entourage, complete with a dozen limos, escorted by Secret Service detail, and escorted by a dozen cops on motorcyles. She is a woman that lives a "simple lifestyle"? Was this the Queen of England visiting America? Princess Diana? Who is paying for this, by the way? She is a fiscal conservative? Maybe she's a fiscal conservative when it's her own pocketbook that's paying for things, but she certainly feels that she has has open-ended "tab" when someone else is paying for it.

Again, we go back to where we started. She says one thing but her actions consistently prove otherwise. THIS is why she's attacked if you really want to know. If you'd ask her about this, I'm sure that she'd have a logical answer, that being that the elite liberal media or the liberal media is picking on her. She has mastered the fine art of falling into cr*p and coming up smelling like a rose.

In some weird Bizarro World, yes, but not here on planet Earth.

And John McCain too!

I guess we'd better change election law to only allow Governors! Those who have presided for less than 2 years in sparsely populated states especially.

All those great presidents in the past who never had Executive experience - they should have to have a footnote disclaiming as such added into the sections of our history books which discuss them.

You have got to be kidding! The anti-Obama crowd here was loud and hateful. To accuse Obama of having his grandmother murdered the day before the election was despicable!

I refused to even post here as a mild protest during the weeks before the election.

Some of the threads with absolutely hateful claims and conspiracies about Obama and/or his supporters were beyond the pale, and these folks here should consider themselves lucky that they were able to get away with it. I hang on 2 other politics boards, and threads of that nature were not allowed - at all.

I also need to point out that most of the Palin bashing was based on actual events. Her failed interview, spending spree, things she actually said at rallies, etc.

I'd guess that more than half of the Obama bashing threads started here were conspiracy theories and twisted truths.

Nothing like getting the biggest piece of pie, and then whining about it afterward!

So you are admitting that McCain was a better candidate that Obama?

Obama won with 52% of the vote. If distaste for Palin only put Obama 2 percentage points into the presidency then It sounds as though it would have been a McCain landslide if he had chosen someone else.
