Not much change, folks...

Quote:
What’s with Obama’s choice of old-time Clinton cronies and recycled Washington insiders to run the transition to his new politics of change?

Can’t the anti-Washington insiders President-elect find anyone who isn’t a Beltway has-been?

Judging by the appointments to his transition committee and leaks about possible top staff and Cabinet choices, Obama appears to be practicing the politics of status quo, not the politics of change.

He hasn't even been sworn in yet. Sheesh. Until that happens you have no point.

You have a crystal ball that shows you there will be no change? Why don't you just wait until after January 20th before you start making assumptions?

Biased Dick Morris on Fox who pooh poohed Obama all throughout the election. Think for yourself for god's sake. Obama didn't say he wasn't going to pick the best person for the job. The staffers he picks will follow their president's direction toward change as we all do when we get a new boss and want to hold our jobs. But this is so elementary.

How nefarious of Obama to choose as his chief of staff someone who knows how to get things done in Washington! Better to choose a bunch of inexperienced outsiders to navigate the halls of Washington. That worked out well for Jimmy Carter.

That's what Obama detractors want...someone that will screw it up and not be a hardass. Rahm don't take no crap, especially from the GOP, and that scares them.

The assumption of some (many?) of the Obama opponents is that Obama supporters were starry-eyed hippies who thought he'd bring peace, love and rainbows to the Oval Office. Many of us are instead more interested in Obama's ideas and his plans for the office, and his ability to actually implement policies that will benefit this country. And so thank goodness he's bringing in people who know their ways around Washington and understand the give-and-take that accompanies politics, so that he has a chance of accomplishing what he's promised to do.
