There are so many purebreds at shelters and rescues.....I would hope that this is the route they will go.
Besides, didn't they say they weren't getting the dog till summer? That leaves plenty of time for the shelters and rescues in the DC area to keep their eyes out for a hypoallergenic puppy.

Actually a 75 pound dog is not a natural dog. A dog that big has to be breed to be that big just like the little ones do. The places where dogs interbreed freely end up looking like a regular yellow dog with shortish fur and about 35-45 pounds.

She is a real sweetie...and loves people, especially children! A Maltipoo would make the entire Obama family a great little dog.

Too bad he chose a purebred in the end after he said he would set a good example and adopt from the shelter. Another lie.

I heard the dog was given up by it's original owners. You can't possible be bi$ching about his choice of family pet.....can you?

I doubt Obama really ever wanted a dog or he would had one previously.

Isn't that a bit like saying you don't really want anything you haven't always had? If I got a dog today, but never had one before, do I really want it? Lame arguement. The girls wanted one, end of story.

His girls have said they ALWAYS wanted a dog. Interesting he decided to do it in the US public eye.

The man never wanted a dog & wouldn't have one today if he'd lost the election.

-BTW way i wouldn't have responded to your post but you were so rude I couldn't resist. I am just posting my opinion, so disagree with it OK, but don't call my opinion lame. That's tacky.
