Do you think he actually thought their were 57 states? It was a mistake, not a genuine thought or falsehood. Whats to talk about?

Now, compare that to say, Palins interview where she said that the Vice President literally runs the Senate. Or compare it to Palin lying and saying she didn't support the Bridge to No Where and thought it was a total waste. Or compare it to her rambling, incoherent statement about the bailout in 2008. Or ANY of her ridiculous answers in those embarrassing interviews.

If Obama did an interview a quarter as bad as the Palin interviews in 08, we'd never hear the end of it from the right wing. I think the "57 States" thing shows that. But shes a Constitutional Conservative (not really, just a social conservative), so she gets an endless amount of free passes from the right. "Shes folksy, shes not an insider, shes a hockey mom!". Give me a break. Shes an ignorant dumbass, and that's why people think the way they do about her. Not Katie Couric, not CBS, not the "LIBERAL MEDIA BIAS!1!!". Its all her, and she refuses to own up to it...

I agree. We're human. Things happen. If you really think a politician thinks there are 57 states, then maybe you're the one that's nutzo.

Anyway, I know Barack is human and chances are, his Kwanzaa comments were nothing close to bad taste. Probably all the best intentions in the world, but he was probably given the wrong information or was advised by the wrong person, or just made a mistake.

But am I really the only one who finds his comments "Happy Kwanzaa", which is a made up holiday, invented by a guy that wanted to "give Blacks an alternative to the existing holiday and give Blacks an opportunity to celebrate themselves and history, rather than simply imitate the practice of the dominant society" offensive?
I'm sorry but I resent that and am offended. Mr. President, if you're going to wish Happy Kwanzaa, you better not forget to wish Merry Christmas or Happy Chanukah.

I don't understand Kwanzaa either, but it seems like your outrage is selective. Bush and Clinton both made "Happy Kwanzaa" statements. Were you upset about it then too? I bet not.

What if Obama made the biggest screwup of all the screwups that McCain did - and chose Sarah Palin as his VP?

The gaffes didn't matter.

The labor unions had Barack Hussein Obama's back. The indoctrinated youth also bought his blather.

Gaffes? Are you kidding me?

You can't honestly tell me that the election for Presidency depends on "gaffes".

Just stop it already.

Default If Obama made a gaff ?

Obama is a man without an archived past thanks to the lap dog news media.

When FOX does play his past words and promises, the contrast to what he says and does today is astounding. The only thing more astounding is the news medias' lack of open discussion regarding his 180* reversals.

The news media acts like a crooked ref in a mob fixed boxing match.

His reputation as a great orator was conjured up and sustained by the media. Mr, "let me be clear, or is it, Clare" , drones on in an egocentric tone full of nebulous phrases that twist and turn in his measued and calculated lawyer speak. The content of his speeches swirl in a vortex of wind that confuses literal meaning with poetic license to produce an interpretive message he alone can deciode and decipher as the situation requires.

Claims of Obama being a great orator are exclusive of his inability to actually communicate. Unless his intent is to say nothing.

Of course they are. They peddle conservative grenades like "socialist" and all the other nonsense coming from the wingnuts, they give the Tea Party a voice while muting others, including those who call for sanity.

Obama is a closet Republican but at least he could speak straight, minus the tiny oratorical mistakes that an army of spinners waited on.

It's okay to make a mistake a few times, but when you get countries wrong and then have to have someone whisper in your ear you mentioned the wrong country and do it repeatedly, its a problem, more one of concentration and memory than anything.

The gaffes McCain made were worrisome. His jokes were worrisome too (Bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran)

Barack is interested in his own legacy as a community organizor.

He is now being cornered by society. If he doesn't secure economic sanity -- and/or find a way to turn around America's spiraling freefall into debt abyss, He has two choices.

Agree that your grandchrildren will pay for the mistakes of the past....

OR

Allow Americans to do what they do best.

I will let you judge what Americans do best.

I think that liberals in this country don't even know what they are talking about. They start out as 14 year olds. Schools tell them to think "Democrats".

Why don't schools yell at the top of their lungs about "Conservatism"

Alright-- Everybody knows - that in America - people use Meth/Crack -

Not me. I don't even own a gun.

Look, I have all the answers.

Never hear the end of it......you mean like the way the left can't stop insulting and criticizing Palin, even though the election was over 2 years ago now and she's basically nothing more than a citizen.... she's not in public office any where.
