And you have no comment on the other links?
You do know that Reagan hasn't been president for many years, right? CNN, Fox and NBC report the NEWS, in case you didn't know. Since Reagan has been dead for a few years and had Alzheimer's for many years before that, I doubt a story by a news source about his economics. But I did provide several links.
And you libs post links to the Huffington Post all the time, so why is THAT okay and any conservative source is not?

Political nostalgia of years gone by is indicative of post millenium stress syndrome. In other wise the inablility to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Music and sport nostalgia are very different, but yearning of and for a previous time of life is oh well I will let Freud elaborate on that.

You see, they disappeared me in 2004 and I didn't want the same thing happening this time around. It worked for me this election and I still voted for Obama - even though I live in AZ and it went to McCain

If you are implying they "disappeared" you in 2004 because you were registered as a Democrat and you re-registered as a Republican, I don't buy that. I was registered as a Republican and have lived at this same address and voted since 1986 using this address. I was "disappeared" from the voter list for this election and found out and re-registered before it was too late. And my husband was registered as Independent/Unaffiliated and he was also "disappeared" from the voter list.

You come across as so shrill its hard to agree with anything you say even if the topic is so innocuous as a bloody dress...
I do not link to Huff post unless they are linking to CNN, etc. you claim to be so educated, you should know not to stereotype people... (and not to link to book reviews and discussion forums)..
And for the Reagan lesson I would like to quote you: TALK to the HAND.. though in Adelaide my fav. expression is: Rack off ya mole!
The OP of this thread says it best:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anyone else pay attention to who makes certain posts, starts certain threads, etc? If you do, then you will easily notice that there are around 20 regulars (I won't name names per TOS) that constantly and almost spammishly post extreme anti-Obama sentiments in their posts/threads and have been doing this for a long time. And now, even after the American people have spoken, the same 20 or so people are still clogging up the boards with this mess.
The thing is, is that I don't think these people understand a basic psychological principle in effect ... that showed up in an extremely clear fashion during this election. The more negativity and/or hatred you spew, the more others either begin to not take you seriously, not take your opinions into account when you make them, and/or in some cases, start to feel even more passionately for the items that you spend so much time trying to degrade. It's human nature. For instance, in my opinion, Obama would have won by a smaller margin if both candidates had run a positive, respectful campaign (because of his policy stances). But instead, it was an electoral blowout for Obama because of the psychological principal I just stated above.
So, can we please stop the silliness? It's only making those who are not anti-Obama (the majority) - even more empassioned to support him and/or support him no matter what happens (which is your greatest fear, apparently). The more you show respect, the more level-headed people will respect you and take your opinions into account.

I don't think I've ever posted from Huffington Post, and I'm very careful with the sources that I do link to. That being said, I'll take your .gov link and pass on Cato and Heritage. And I'll see you this NY Times article written by Paul Krugman:

Hey you brainwashed Liberal Helen!
Thanks for the link.. and the author won the Nobel Prize in 2008, very impressive credentials! A much better article than a book review/discussion forum IMO!
PS. I am very educated, probably more so than most on CD!!!! <-- dang how do I display sarcasm on this forum?
It's a measure of how desperate the faithful are to believe in the Reagan legend that one often reads conservative commentators claiming that the Clinton-era miracle was the result of Mr. Reagan's policies, and indeed vindicated them. Think about it: Mr. Reagan passed his big tax cut right at the beginning of his presidency, and mainly raised taxes thereafter. So we're supposed to believe that a tax cut passed in 1981 was somehow responsible for an economic miracle that didn't materialize until around 1997. Apply the same timing to the good things that happened on Mr. Reagan's watch, and you'll discover that Lyndon Johnson deserves the credit for ''Morning in America.''

Sorry, that won't work. It's an EDITORIAL in the opinion section of the NY Times, it is not a news story.

I voted for McCain, but I now suppurt Obama 100%. It is my duty as an American.
FOR THE RECORD:
I voted for McCain, and during the campaign, I posted some harsh criticism of Obama. He is now the president elect, and I support him 100%. That is my duty as an American, to support the president and give him my both support and my RESPECT. I hope you folks note this and not count me in that crowd of problematic posters.
I want to make this point clear...
