"Combo" polls extremely accurate this year; no Bradley Effect
Combination polls, that combine running averages of numerous polls, appeared to be extremely effective and accurate in this Presidential election.
Web sites that combine major polls to estimate support also performed well. Among some popular sites, Pollster.com - 2008 Election Polls, Trends, Charts and Analysis had Obama ahead 52 percent to 44 percent, RealClearPolitics - Opinion, News, Analysis, Videos and Polls saw Obama up 52 percent to 45 percent, and FiveThirtyEight.com: Electoral Projections Done Right gave Obama a 52 percent to 46 percent advantage.
Such accuracy was a relief to pollsters rattled last winter when widespread projections of an Obama victory in the New Hampshire primary were upended after Hillary Rodham Clinton won narrowly.
"We're getting much more sophisticated estimates," said University of Michigan political scientist and polling analyst Michael Traugott, citing improved techniques.
The Associated Press: No hidden white bias seen in presidential race
The article also talks about whether the reputed Bradley Effect will be put to bed now?

Yes indeed.
I have to say that I said all along that there would be NO Bradley Effect when several of the more prominent Obamabashers here were saying the polls weren't taking it into account.
The fact is, the White Racist vote was already factored into the polls by the simple fact that White Racists were simply pointing to Rev Wright and claiming that Obama was the racist and that they wouldn't vote for him because of that - when in truth they wouldn't have voted for Obama if GOD himself told them too.
It doesn't take a genius to come to that conclusion.

I think there some people who voted for Obama, but told everyone the opposite, especially in some of the more conservative areas. Some of my family members were completely surprised by Obama's win. They were convinced that the Bradley Effect would hurt him, and shocked when it didn't.

The Bradley Effect only comes into effect in races where there are many, many undecided voters. And where the black candidate comes across as a typical 'angry black man'.
