why because there is a chance, not for sure but a chance, that DOD has not taken over the country. and that blackwater will eventually be dismantled. this will not happen b4 a big big struggle.

Oh please ... the people who are up in arms over this are the same people who want to get FDR off the dime and replace it with Ronald Reagan ...

Ok, people, panties untwisted. There will be no national holiday.

We should wait. Obama will have to be a lot better than we expect to get a national holiday.

There should be a "Goodbye to Bush" National Holiday, however.

This is such a non-issue. There are many cities that recognize various "holidays" they deem appropriate. We have Pulaski Day in Chicago, who I'd never heard on until a few years ago. Public school kids and city workers get the day off- no big deal.

One question: What if he's a terrible president? An utter failure? Will you take his holidays away?

Ala. county sets 'Barack Obama Day' as new holiday

New holiday: "The Barack Obama Day"

"...The Perry County Commission voted 4 to 1 to observe the second Monday in November as "The Barack Obama Day." County offices will close and its roughly 40 workers will get a paid holiday..."
